Meet Trish

I am experienced working with families and couples who have experienced relationship issues, unhealthy family dynamics, trauma, depression, and anxiety.  I have completed Level 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, where the goals are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.

Navigating life can be challenging if we don’t understand what’s working and what isn’t.  I am here to help you get to the root of the issue so you can change direction in your life to be healthy and content.  I believe that collaboration and trust are essential to our working relationship – you are the expert on your life, and I am here to help you facilitate change, progress, and awareness into the issues you are facing.

Being seen and understood forms the cornerstone of any thriving relationship.  At times, the lines of communication may become tangled and challenging to untangle.  I provide a safe environment where you can openly address complex matters.

I am born and raised in Nanaimo.  When I’m not busy with work, you’ll likely find me enjoying the great outdoors.  I love camping and exploring the natural beauty of our region.  Gardening is another passion of mine, where I find peace and fulfillment in nurturing plants and watching them grow.  At home, I share my life with the two wonderful dogs who keep me active and entertained.  I’m committed to making a positive impact in my community and cherish every opportunity to connect with my neighbors, friends, and fellow residents.
