Meet Kerry,

Hello, I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals, couples and families navigate life’s complexities.  My practice is informed by a rich tapestry of personal and professional experience.  I am mum to three neurodiverse children and all the beauty and challenges that brings.  Inspired by my own healing journey, I am excited and inspired to help support growth and healing for others.

I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling helpless or powerless, as well as supporting life transitions, conflict management, learning how to set boundaries and processing trauma.  My desire to help clients discover their true selves so they may live authentically and free.

I offer a warm, nurturing and safe environment, to address struggles, gain insight into the mind-body connection, and move beyond reactive patterns and emotions that are no longer serving you.  Together, we work towards achieving your goals for counselling.

My therapeutic approach integrates somatic therapy, nervous system awareness, and talk therapy.  In somatic therapy, we explore how our body holds onto stress, trauma, and emotional experiences.  This may involve paying attention to physical sensations, breathing patterns, or body posture and movements.  By becoming more aware of these physical aspects, we gain insights into how they relate to emotional and mental states, process difficult emotions and release tension and trauma.

I am based on beautiful Bowen Island and the North Shore where I take every opportunity I can to explore the trails and beaches with my scruffy little dog Harvey.  I enjoy paddle-boarding with family and friends and I cherish creating memories with my family.
